With around only 200 made, the Commander 114B remains a highly sought-after aircraft in the USA and the UK. Famous for its 47-inch wide cabin, the 114B can seat 4 comfortably with one of the widest cabins compared to similar aircraft in its league, and its presence on the ramp is undeniable. 

With a range of 725 nautical miles and a combined fuel capacity of 57 imperial gallons (useable), this aircraft is perfect for cross-country flying in terms of comfort, stability, and performance. The fuel-injected 260hp Lycoming 10-540 T4B5D drives a 3-bladed McCauley propeller fitted just 115hrs ago. The total airframe and engine stand at 1712hrs as of August 2023 with the next annual due in November 2023. 

The mainly Garmin avionics panel is made up of a Garmin 530W GPS/Nav/Com, Garmin GNC 255 Nav/Com, Garmin GMA 342 Audio Panel, Garmin GTX 345 ADS-B In/Out Transponder, Bendix/King KFC200 Fully coupled, Autopilot with GPSS Roll steering, BendixKing Attitude Gyro/ Flight Command Indicator, BendixKing HSI, BendixKing KR87 ADF and a BendixKing KN64 DME. Plus a dual vacuum pump and second alternator provide more power and added redundancy in case of power failure. An added bonus is the Inflight Stormscope, a useful receive-only device that listens for the electromagnetic energy created by thunderstorms and provides you with data in flight to help navigate safely around areas affected by thunderstorms.

The paint on the fuselage which is in good condition is largely white with a grey hull and subtle red strip detailing and the aircraft benefits from a comfortable cream leather interior. This 114B has always been hangared and is currently based at Sleap Airfield, available for viewing and a short demonstration flight.
