UFM-10 Samba EI-DRM

We are pleased to have for sale on brokerage, this 2000 Urban Air Samba UFM-10, EI-DRM with serial number 03/10. The Samba is a very popular aircraft in Ireland, and in Europe and many people have learned to fly with the type and enjoyed safe economical flying from this well supported permit to fly aircraft type. The Samba is a two-seat, side-by-side, all-composite low-wing aircraft powered by a Jabiru 2200A 80 hp four-cylinder engine. It is fitted with fixed tricycle undercarriage, a steerable nosewheel, dual controls and fowler flaps. The aircraft has a maximum authorised weight of 450 kg, a recorded empty weight of 277 kg and a fuel capacity of 50 litres. The large bubble canopy provides excellent cockpit visibility, with baggage space located behind the seats.

Extensive historic aircraft and engine records accompany the aircraft, covering its earlier operating history and subsequent Irish registration. The records document installation of the Jabiru carb heat kit and TRIG TT21 Mode S transponder, together with subsequent engine, propeller and fuel-system maintenance. The aircraft was previously operated on Czech registration before being registered in Ireland as EI-DRM. The current Jabiru 2200A, serial number 22A804, is a replacement for the earlier recorded Jabiru engine and has its own continuing engine logbook.

The airframe time is 1,916 hours TTSN, recorded at the June 2025 permit application, while the engine time is 122 hours, recorded at 15 June 2026. The aircraft is fitted with a GT-2 two-blade propeller with a diameter of 1,420 mm. The annual inspection was completed on 15 June 2026 and the current IAA Validity Certificate is valid to 22 June 2027.

The cockpit is arranged for two occupants seated side-by-side with dual flying controls. The seats are finished in black upholstery with contrasting red headrests and trim detailing. The large clear bubble canopy provides good all-round visibility and incorporates opening ventilation panels. The panel is fitted with conventional round flight and engine instrumentation, with centrally mounted engine and fuel controls, electric fuel indication and a baggage area behind the seats.

Externally, the aircraft is finished in a gloss red and white colour scheme with black, grey and silver accent striping. Matching painted wheel fairings are fitted to the fixed tricycle undercarriage. The aircraft has a GT-2 two-blade wooden propeller with painted red tips, a clear bubble canopy and wing flaps. The removable-wing design allows the aircraft to be dismantled for transportation or compact storage.

Avionics comprise an ICOM A200 VHF COM and a TRIG TT21 Mode S transponder, together with conventional analogue flight and engine instrumentation. Additional equipment includes the 50 litre fuel tank, Jabiru carb heat kit, wheel fairings, dual controls, wing flaps, baggage compartment, removable wings and cockpit ventilation panels.
