EUROPES LARGEST AIRCRAFT SALES STORE
€133,000.00 EUR
N2184U was a $193k aircraft when the previous owner bought it in May 2003. Back then low time Cessna 206’s in factory seaplane configuration, with long-range tanks and HD landing gear were probably more readily available. In 2022 people would gladly travel anywhere in the world to get one.
N2184U was flown to St Marten in June 2003 where it remained until May 2007, when it was disassembled and containerized for transport to Denmark, and onwards to France arriving in Biscarrosse in August 2007. It has remained hangared and unassembled, in dry storage throughout this time. The 1974 airframe time is 2452hrs TT and the IO-520-F9B was installed in Feb 1997 with 96hrs SFRM. The propeller was installed new in June 2003 and has 65hrs SNEW. The date of the last flight was June 2004.
The paint and interior are in very good condition, there is remarkably little corrosion and the aircraft is fully factory corrosion proofed. The interior was updated in 1989 and is in good condition with vertically adjustable seats and all six headrests. Dupont Imron Vestal White #45414U, 42095U Blue and 63203U Dark blue painted by Wipaire in 1993. The wheels were removed and Wipline 3730 Amphibious floats were installed in May 1991 so the floats have just 211hrs on them since new.
The avionics have been updated with a new GMA340 Audio Panel, Garmin GNS430, Garmin GI-106A and Kannad 406Mhz ELT having been fitted in August 2004. The panel also has older King KX175B with KNI-520 Indicator, King KR-85 ADF, Century III Autopilot, King KT-76 Transponder and PM-501 Intercom.
The aircraft benefits from an Air Oil Separator, Precise Flight Standby Vacuum, Backup Hand pump Assembly, Large Non-Congealing Oil Cooler, Strobes, Ground Power Receptacle, Quick Drain Oil Valve, Alternate Static, Stabilizer Abrasion Boots, 6 Cylinder EGT and Priming System and refuelling steps. Adding significantly to the utility of the aircraft is the heavy-duty landing gear with all 3 heavy-duty wheel spats and brackets present. Last weighed on Amphibs at 2699Lbs yielding 901Lbs useful load.
On its import into Europe, it was VAT paid in Denmark. The previous owner was a French Military Pilot with 3500hrs Seaplane time, and he has been careful about the disassembly and storage of the aircraft. The previous owner had assigned a French registration to the aircraft but it was never registered in France as per confirmation from the French DGAC. The aircraft is N registered and will require DAR service to issue a certificate of airworthiness. The present location is Biscarrosse France, the frames for packing into a container are still with the aircraft making loading it again a straightforward job. If we don’t get $139,950 for it, we will build it up and sell the Amphib floats on separately. Serious buyers ready to fund an escrow account with Insured Aircraft Title will get treated seriously. Once assembled again this is a seriously valuable aeroplane.
