EUROPES LARGEST AIRCRAFT SALES STORE
€169,950.00 EUR
Let’s do some sums. How much would you need to buy a 235hp four-seat aeroplane for, to completely upgrade it and come out at less than the asking price of G-CCBH? We don’t think it can be done. The overhauled Gama engine with its 24-month warranty is a £35k plus vat outlay. The overhauled propeller would be £3,500 plus vat. The bare-metal respray would run you £18,000 plus vat. The custom-fabricated panel with its Garmin Glass panel and autopilot would be knocking on the door of £50,000 plus vat. Add in the fresh ARC/Annual, and the lack of downtime paying, and we think that £145,000 (No VAT) is a reasonable outlay for a turnkey aeroplane of this calibre. This 1965 airframe with just 3600hrs TTAF has been re-lifed by the current owner to take it long into the future. The engine is just back from a full overhaul by Gama and has sub 10hrs SMOH, as is the constant-speed Hartzell propeller. The Garmin flight deck comprising:
Has all been installed in a new-cut metal instrument panel. All of the work has been done by a well-known restoration facility and authorized Garmin Dealer, who can continue to support the aircraft for the new owner. The Cherokee 235 is a capable aeroplane, a genuine contender to a Cessna 182, which falls into the class of the most useful aeroplanes you could have the keys to. It would be a pleasure to demonstrate the aircraft to you, from Thruxton.
