G-BMGB is a privately-operated example of the Piper Arrow II, which is a type constantly sought after by pilots looking to trade up. The speed advantage of retractable undercarriage and the constant speed propeller, gives a balance between performance and operational familiarity for pilots trained on the PA28 type. This 1973 model is based at Kemble, and the owners have traded up to a larger aircraft. The airframe has 3336hrs and the 200hp Lycoming IO-360-C1C has 612hrs SMOH in 1985, with 158hrs STOH in 2019. The propeller is 2 blade Hartzell with just 224hrs SPOH in June 2011. The aircraft is in ARC/Annual until 31st October 2023. When the top overhaul was completed in 2019, all cylinders were replaced with new cylinder kits and new plugs. At this time the magnetos had a 500hr inspection by GAMA Aviation.
The avionics are the star of the show, with the owners having invested in dual Garmin G5's and keeping the original AH for backup. The audio panel is a Garmin GMA-340, with a Garmin GTN-750 WAAS GPS/8.33Khz Com 1/Nav 1 linked to the G5 HSI. There is a Garmin GNC-255A as 8.33khz Com 2/Nav 2 is linked to a Garmin GI-106A CDI, and the aircraft has a Garmin GTX-330 Mode S fitted. The Autopilot fitted is a Century IIB single-axis.
The interior has been recently upgraded by the owners with freshly trimmed beige leather seats and sidewalls, which presents really well. The paint shows very nicely and has been regularly polished by the owners. The aircraft is ready to demonstrate, and we can buy your aircraft for stock if you want to make an immediate switch.
